According to Edvest.com, the average annual cost of tuition (not including living expenses) in 2021 ranges from $6,085 to almost $30,000 depending on residency and public vs. private institutions. Multiplied by a factor of four or five, it’s not surprising that students not receiving substantial financial support end up in tens of thousands of dollars of debt by graduation.
